Terms and Conditions – Sale of Vetiver Grass Plants
1. Product Description
Vetiver grass (Chrysopogon zizanioides) is sold as a live plant, either in individual slips, clumps, or rooted plugs. All plants are cultivated and handled with care to ensure they are healthy and viable at the time of sale.
2. Live Plant Policy – No Refunds or Returns
Due to the nature of live plants, all sales are final. Once Vetiver plants leave our facility, they are considered the responsibility of the purchaser. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on any live plant products, including Vetiver grass, for the following reasons:
- Live plants are perishable and can be affected by handling, planting methods, and local environmental conditions.
- The condition and survival of plants after delivery cannot be guaranteed.
- Vetiver is a living organism, and therefore falls under a strict no-refund policy once sold.
By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
3. Seasonal Appearance & Colour Changes
Vetiver grass is a perennial plant and will exhibit natural seasonal variations in appearance, including but not limited to:
- Colour changes: Vetiver may appear green during warm, growing seasons (spring/summer), and may turn yellow, brown, or straw-coloured during cooler months (autumn/winter), particularly in temperate climates. This is a normal dormancy response and not a sign of plant health issues.
- Growth rates may vary depending on temperature, rainfall, and soil conditions.
These seasonal changes are natural and expected, and do not qualify as grounds for a refund or complaint.
4. Care Instructions
For best results, please ensure:
- Vetiver is planted in well-drained soil with full sunlight.
- Regular watering is maintained during the initial establishment period.
- Protection is provided during frost if planted in cooler climates.
We provide basic planting and care information, but the ultimate success of the plant depends on local conditions and care provided by the buyer.
